Jennifer Sonja Wunsch
A former Deputy District Attorney, Ms. Wunsch is a veteran criminal trial attorney whose experience uniquely positions her to defend the criminally accused against the State's prosecutions. While a prosecutor in the 14th Judicial District, Ms. Wunsch had responsibility for managing over 1,500 cases annually, giving her significant experience in all phases of criminal matters.
In trial, Ms. Wunsch developed an impressive record of wins in both felony and misdemeanor cases involving assault, domestic violence, driving under the influence, minor in possession, juvenile, and various traffic offenses. In addition to victories at trial in both district court and county court, Ms. Wunsch has obtained favorable court rulings in dozens of pretrial motions and preliminary hearings. In post-trial proceedings, she has secured successful rulings on appeal, in restitution hearings, and in petitions to seal criminal records.
Beyond her legal skill in arguing before both judges and juries, Ms. Wunsch has negotiated hundreds dispositions outside the courtroom. Her zealous advocacy as a prosecutor has equipped her well to achieve the best possible results on behalf of JURDEM, LLC's clients accused of criminal violations.
Ms. Wunsch was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Economics and Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado. While at the University of Colorado School of Law, Ms. Wunsch participated in several mock trials, was a member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, and an editor of a law journal. Ms. Wunsch has also participated in numerous volunteer organizations benefitting children and the homeless, both in Atlanta, Georgia and Boulder, Colorado.
